SCHOOL HEALING PEDAGOGUE FOR ASD CLASS 50-100%, EMBRACH

In August 2025, we opened a new location in Embrach for children and adolescents focusing on ASD with hearing and/or severe speech acquisition impairments. We are planning to start another class and are looking for enthusiastic support - start date to be agreed upon. Would you like to help us further develop this location? YOUR TASKS

• Teaching an ASD class of five to six students

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with internal and external specialists

• Collaboration with parents and the interdisciplinary support team as part of educational planning

• Specialization in the area of autism spectrum disorder as well as hearing impairment and speech development

YOUR PROFILE

• EDK-recognized teaching diploma with additional training in special education or interest in completing this

• Experience or strong interest in working with children on the autism spectrum

• Interest in sign language and supported communication

• Responsible, organized, and humorous personality

INTEGRATION THROUGH SIGN LANGUAGE

Sign language is a central element in communication and daily work for the entire center. Since 2001, sign language has been integrated into school instruction. We are committed to ensuring that the ZGSZ takes a pioneering role in bimodal-bilingual education. Therefore, you will acquire basic competence in sign language with us, regardless of function and area.

We employ around 230 staff members who work for over 850 children and adolescents with hearing and speech acquisition impairments in 8 departments. With comprehensive services for counseling, care, education, and therapy, we promote the personal development and identity formation of children and adolescents. The Center for Hearing and Language is located in a beautiful area in Zurich-Wollishofen as well as at other locations in Zurich, Winterthur, and Embrach.
