SPEECH THERAPISTS 50–100%, EMBRACH/WINTERTHUR/WOLLISHOFEN

For our three locations in Embrach, Winterthur, and Zurich Wollishofen, we are looking for dedicated speech therapists to join us by the start of the 2026/27 school year, or earlier by arrangement. You have the option to work at one or more locations. An open, professional, and sustainable speech therapy team awaits you.

YOUR TASKS

• Speech therapy for students aged 4 to 18 with hearing and/or severe speech impairments. At the Embrach location, the focus is on ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with internal and external specialists.

• Consultation for school and family caregivers.

• Specialization in the area of hearing impairment and speech development as well as other forms of impairment.

• In Embrach, due to the recently opened location: plenty of freedom to help design and set up the therapy room.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed speech therapy training (EDK recognition).

• Knowledge of sign language and supported communication or willingness to acquire these skills.

• Responsible, team-oriented, and flexible personality.

EXPERTISE

The ZGSZ is the competence center in German-speaking Switzerland for children and adolescents with hearing and speech acquisition impairments. A strong international expert network, intensive internal and external exchange, and regular training and further education promote the expertise of the entire team.

INTEGRATION THROUGH SIGN LANGUAGE

Sign language is a central element in communication and daily work for the entire center. Since 2001, sign language has been integrated into school instruction. We are committed to ensuring that the ZGSZ takes a pioneering role in bimodal-bilingual education. Therefore, you will acquire a basic competence in sign language with us, regardless of function and area.

The Center for Hearing and Speech (ZGSZ) is an independent public law institution of the Canton of Zurich. We employ around 230 staff members who work for over 850 children and adolescents with hearing and speech acquisition impairments in 8 departments. With comprehensive services for counseling, support, education, and therapy, we promote the personal development and identity formation of children and adolescents. The Center for Hearing and Speech is located in a beautiful area in Zurich-Wollishofen as well as at other locations in Zurich, Winterthur, and Embrach.
