Secretary General FHNW (80-100%)

Your tasks:
As Secretary General, you will pursue the following tasks:
Support the Executive President in executive matters and prepare decision-making bases (committee work, e.g., for the University Council)
Support the Executive Board in handling educational policy matters (including reporting to the sponsoring cantons, statements, consultations)
Lead the crisis management of FHNW: ensure the flow of information in crisis situations, develop and implement measures, and be responsible for threat management
Ensure appropriate internal and external communication and lead the person responsible for communication
Responsible for the legal service FHNW: develop legal foundations, ensure legal advice, and lead and represent the head of the legal service
Lead responsibility for compliance and monitoring adherence to external regulations
Responsible for quality management and documentation: institutional accreditation, QM foundations and reporting, student and graduate surveys, and lead the documentation and archiving responsible FHNW
Your profile:
University degree in law or comparable education
Ideally further training in communication and leadership
Very good German skills and linguistic proficiency in writing reports and statements
Confidence in managing complex processes
Strong conceptual skills and strategic foresight
Confident interaction with superior authorities and political bodies
Willingness to shape as well as strong organizational, cooperative, and communication skills
Presentation skills and persuasiveness in representing FHNW in economic, social, and political contexts
Good knowledge of the Swiss education landscape is an advantage
Experience in the strategic management of large organizations
Well-organized and inspiring leadership personality with ideally several years of leadership experience
Fluency in English and knowledge of French
