Experienced Development Engineer HV Circuit Breaker (m/f/d)
Tasks
- Interrupting chambers‘ electric design
- The proposition of solutions for interrupter chambers optimisation and implementation according to existing or innovative development processes
- Contributing expert knowledge in various areas, such as the interrupter clearing capability, mechanical and electrical design
- Planning and execution of development and type tests according to relevant standards, taking into account the optimum cost coupled with the continuous improvement based on test results
- Complementing the project manager‘s expertise and using the network to increase Pfiffner‘s efforts in the development and engineering phases of the circuit breaker
- Bringing a network of suppliers into the company to identify with them, among other things, innovative solutions related to this project
- Presentation of the circuit breaker to customers, as well as providing technical advice
Your Profile
- University degree in Electrical Engineering
- Acknowledged expert, innovative character and „Can Do“ attitude
- More than 7 years of experience in the development of high voltage circuit breakers focus on electrical design and performance/design of high voltage circuit breakers tests
- Experience with SF6-free interrupters is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of German and English, business fluency in at least one of the languages
- Knowledge of optimisation techniques (VBA/Python) is a plus
