Technical Director Engineering / Lead Engineer Plant Construction 80–100%
Shaping technically instead of managing. Developing solutions that stand the test of practice.
We are looking for doers with technical depth.
People who do not see engineering as an end in itself, but as a foundation for safe, economical, and cleanly realizable plants.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced technical personality who works closely with our management, project managers, and design team, takes responsibility, makes decisions based on expertise, and actively develops our engineering. It is not primarily about personnel management, but about technical leadership, technical judgment, and the ability to advance others with good solutions. You utilize your freedom, tackle topics independently, and bring projects to a structured and reliable conclusion, even when things get technically tricky.
What this task is about
As Technical Director Engineering / Lead Engineer, you are one of the technical minds at ISTinox. You take on the technical responsibility for demanding projects and support our project managers wherever in-depth engineering, calculations, or process engineering knowledge is required. You work closely with management, project management, design, procurement, and production.
Addressing customer concerns: Capture technical customer concerns in the initial contact, recognize initial ideas and needs, and accompany them as a competent contact person in further project clarification.
Developing concepts: Develop technically sound and economical solution and plant concepts.
Plants and components: Plan, calculate, and dimension plants and components.
Engineering: Responsible for process engineering and mechanical engineering in demanding projects.
Technical fundamentals: Develop clear technical fundamentals for project management and design and ensure that the solutions also work in manufacturing and assembly.
Complex customer projects: Accompany complex customer projects from the concept phase to technical implementation.
Support and sparring: Support our project managers as a technical sparring partner in demanding technical questions.
Technical review: Review concepts, designs, and critical components with a high quality standard.
Collaboration: Work closely with management, project management, design, procurement, and production.
Standards and processes: Pragmatically further develop technical standards, methods, and processes.
What you bring

Technical understanding: Very good understanding of design, calculation, and technical specification.
Customer-specific solutions: Experience with demanding, customer-specific plants and solutions.
Problem-solving: Enjoy analyzing technical problems in a structured manner and solving them pragmatically.
Technical support: Ability to support designers and project managers technically.
Work style: Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style.
