Where plants can grow, people can also flourish. From April 2027 or by agreement, we are looking for a committed individual for the diverse and responsible role as Team Leader of our Kollegi Horticulture. The position combines professional, economic, and work pedagogical tasks. The focus is on the seasonal production of organic plants and organic vegetables, as well as the execution of service orders, combined with the promotion and participation of people with disabilities.

What to expect

The Team Leader of Kollegi Horticulture leads the production and sales of the horticulture professionally, personally, and organizationally. They accompany, promote, and support people with disabilities in their daily work and create conditions for meaningful, safe, and resource-oriented employment. Both operational and social and individual goals are taken into account. The main tasks include in particular:

• Planning, organizing, and coordinating the work in the horticulture as well as ensuring a high-quality production and service

• Responsibility for crop management, plant care, maintenance, sales, seasonal work, and material and plant orders

• Professional support of around 15 people with disabilities and promoting their individual skills, independence, and work competencies

• Planning and implementing individual support goals, site discussions, and documentation as well as responsibility for PrA and EBA trainees

• Leading, developing, and supporting a team of 7 employees and promoting a respectful and inclusive team culture

• Co-responsibility for the budget, administration, and reporting, participation in projects, as well as implementation and further development of concepts and offerings

What you bring

• Completed training as a gardener EFZ and ideally further training as a head gardener, master gardener, work educator, or a comparable qualification

• Professional experience in production and sales, preferably in the horticultural environment

• Joy and experience in supporting people with disabilities as well as high social competence and empathy

• Modern leadership understanding with trust, personal responsibility, participation, and appreciative collaboration

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills as well as enjoyment in teamwork

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with organizational skills

• Openness to change and further development as well as enjoyment in a development-oriented work environment
