Sachseln – an attractive employer with around 5,300 residents – is looking for a

Head of Finance / IT Department (80 – 100 %) due to the retirement of the current position holder, starting April 1, 2027, or by agreement.

You will not just take on a position – you will shape the financial future of the municipality.

Your tasks:

You will take on the technical and personnel management of the finance administration with three employees.
You will be responsible for the budget, annual financial statements, financial planning, and payroll.
You will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting affairs of the municipality.
You will actively contribute to the digitization of the municipal administration and further develop it.
You will continuously expand the internal control system (IKS) and controlling.
You will be responsible for the municipality's insurance matters and will provide first-level support in the IT area of the administration.
You will be the first point of contact for the municipal council, administration, and departments regarding financial matters.

You bring:

Training in finance and accounting, fiduciary services, or business administration (FH/HF or a comparable qualification).
Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
Confidence in closing tasks as well as budgeting and planning processes.
Very good IT skills and interest in digital developments.
Experience in public administration is an advantage.
Reliable, independent, and solution-oriented working style.
