Arbon is the third largest city in the canton of Thurgau with over 16,000 inhabitants. The former industrial city has developed in recent years into an attractive residential, working, and holiday destination, as well as a popular excursion spot in Eastern Switzerland. Around 140 employees work in the administration, the workshop, and various external offices.

For the swimming and beach pool, we are looking for a

Operations Management Pools 80 - 100 % (Year-round position)

The swimming pool with lake access is located directly by the lake. It features a 50-meter and a 33-meter swimming pool, a non-swimmer pool, and a children's splash pool, as well as a barbecue area. The giant slide and the one to ten-meter high diving tower provide action.

The Buchhorn beach pool has been awarded as one of the most beautiful pools in Switzerland by the Swiss Heritage Society due to its quiet and idyllic location on Lake Constance and its historic bathing hut. It has a large sunbathing area, a children's splash pool, and a large playground.

Your Responsibilities

• Mainly responsible for the operational management of the swimming pool and the beach pool in Arbon

• Professional and personnel management of the swimming and beach pool (lifeguards, pool attendants, cashiers, and cleaning staff) including planning and coordination of personnel deployments (creating duty rosters)

• Recruitment, onboarding, and training of permanent and seasonal staff

• Responsible for smooth supervision and adherence to hygiene standards as well as a well-maintained appearance of the facilities

• Ensuring an efficient and effective alarm organization including rescue, first aid, and initiating life-saving immediate measures in emergencies, as well as ensuring training for all employees

• Care and maintenance of technical systems and installations as well as ensuring water quality

Your Competencies

• Valid Swiss lifeguard certificate (basic course), module lake rescue, basic course for professional authorization for pool water disinfection, and BLS-AED course

• Additional training lifeguard course (BAKU), or willingness to complete this

• Several years of professional experience as a lifeguard and ideally several years of experience in team leadership

• Willingness to work irregular hours (evening and weekend shifts)

• Strong quality and service understanding combined with economic thinking and action

• Good IT user knowledge

• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form

• Craftsmanship skills
