Social Worker: Residential Assistance (80%)

Would you like to make a valuable contribution to the population of Winterthur? The residential coaching of the Social Services Winterthur supports people who are threatened by or affected by homelessness. Starting from November 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a committed individual who accompanies people on their way to a stable and independent housing situation.

Your Tasks

• Consultation and support for clients in difficult housing and life situations as well as assistance in searching for housing and securing suitable accommodation

• Organization of emergency accommodations and mediation of transitional housing

• Contact person for clients in transitional housing, support in finding sustainable follow-up solutions, reporting, home visits

• Clarification of social, financial, and legal issues as well as networking with relevant specialist agencies

• Documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration with authorities and landlords

Your Profile

• Completed training in social work or social pedagogy (FH / HF)

• Professional experience in supporting people in complex life and crisis situations

• Good knowledge of social assistance and tenancy law

• High resilience, personal responsibility, and decision-making ability

• Solution-oriented, independent, and strong communication skills
