The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and relies on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our clients and drive digitalization forward.

The Regional Medical Service (RAD) Bern, Freiburg, Solothurn examines the insurance medical requirements for the receipt of benefits from the disability insurance for the cantonal IV offices.

What you can achieve with us

• You assess the work and reintegration ability of our insured persons from a medical perspective based on the documentation or your own examinations.

• With your expertise, you ensure that the entitlement to benefits is determined quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

• To this end, you write insurance medical statements, collaborate with treating doctors, and advise and support our case managers and insurance specialists on medical issues.

• If interested, there is the possibility to take on additional special tasks such as project work or training activities.

What skills are important to us

• You are a specialist doctor with several years of professional experience and are interested in social insurance law and insurance medical issues.

• You appreciate complex issues, make targeted decisions, and enjoy taking on responsibility. In addition, you are characterized by a high service orientation.

• Working with people from different professional fields brings you joy. With your constructive and helpful nature, you contribute to a good team climate.

• We are a bilingual (German-French) company, so active knowledge of the respective other language is desired.

What we offer you

Working Hours

Annual working hours (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time as well as mobile, paid breaks

Vacation

At least 25 days of vacation per year, 28 days from the age of 45, and 33 days from the age of 55. Possibility of unpaid leave

Salary

Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and transparent salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military, civil protection, and civil service

Social Insurance

Above-par participation in contributions to the Bern Pension Fund, covering half of the premium for non-occupational accident and daily sickness insurance

Training and Development

Financial and/or time participation in training and development projects
