Specialist in Social Education for Housing Children and Adolescents

The Schürmatt Foundation is a competence center for unique special educational services in the canton of Aargau. We employ around 440 staff members at 13 locations. They are mainly involved in the education, support, and care of people with disabilities.

We are looking for a competent individual to join us immediately or by agreement at the Zetzwil location as

Specialist in Social Pedagogy for Residential Care for Children and Adolescents
Workload 40% - 80%

Your main tasks

• You will care for and support 7 children and adolescents with cognitive and physical disabilities and sometimes challenging behaviors.

• Along with your team members, you will enable the clients of the residential group to participate in social life.

• You will enrich daily life with structured activities and support the personal development and independence of the clients.

• You will take responsibility for the design of social pedagogical processes and for interdisciplinary exchange with internal and external specialists, relatives, and legal representatives.

• You will contribute to achieving departmental and operational goals as well as to the further development of the Schürmatt Foundation.

You bring the following

• Completed studies in social pedagogy or social work HF / FH, training as a specialist in care for people with disabilities, specialist in supporting people with disabilities.

• Experience in supporting and caring for people with disabilities as well as those with challenging behaviors.

• Cooperative and partnership-oriented working style with an active feedback culture.

• Creative and flexible thinking, high assertiveness.

• Mental and physical resilience.

• Good IT user skills.

• Willingness to work irregular hours, but no night shifts.

• Ideally, a driving license B.
