Your tasks:
Deputizing for the head of department.
Comprehensive analysis of developments in national and international foreign trade policy regarding possible impacts on the Swiss business location.
Preparing decision-making bases for the management and the board of economiesuisse.
Independent management of central dossiers for the umbrella organization – such as free trade agreements, customs negotiations with important trading partners of Switzerland, including Europe.
Building and maintaining a broad and resilient network within business, politics, administration, and media.
Representing the association domestically and abroad and participating in official foreign trips of the federal government (including economic missions at the level of secretary of state or federal council with high-ranking representatives of the Swiss economy).
Public appearances (lectures, panel discussions, etc.)
Writing consultations, publications, and media contributions.
What you bring:
University or university of applied sciences degree, ideally with an international focus and solid economic knowledge.
Enthusiasm for national and international politics, good knowledge of the legislative process, economic framework conditions – also beyond national borders – and awareness of social contexts.
Relevant professional experience in the field of foreign trade (companies, administration, politics, or associations).
High willingness to perform, independence, initiative, as well as quick comprehension and openness to new topics.
Strong analytical skills, precise, digitally savvy, and quick to grasp complex relationships.
You communicate clearly, persuasively, and appropriately to the audience.
Fluent in German and good knowledge of French and English; additional foreign languages are a plus.
High social competence, enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration, diplomatic skill.
