Social Educator: Supported Living for Young Adults (40 - 60%, fixed-term)
Would you like to accompany young adults on their path to an independent life? As part of a one-year pilot project starting January 1, 2027, the city of Winterthur is establishing a new program for young adults with refugee experience between the ages of 18 and 25. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated social education professional who will help shape this program from the beginning.
Your Tasks
Support and promote young adults in supported living on their path to independent living during the week and on weekends
Planning, implementation, and review of individual support processes as well as ensuring professional case management and documentation
Collaboration and coordination with authorities, educational institutions, and internal and external specialists
Early detection of crisis situations and initiation and coordination of appropriate support and intervention measures
Contributing to the establishment and further development of the program within the framework of the pilot project
Your Profile
Completed studies in social pedagogy HF/FH or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience, preferably in supporting young adults or in the migration sector
Independent, structured, and responsible working style as well as enjoyment in building a new program
High social competence, resilience, and strong communication skills
Very good German language skills, both spoken and written; English and other foreign languages are an advantage
