To complement our team, we are looking for a

Head of Regional Social Service BBL / Member of the Management Board 80 - 100 % starting December 1, 2026, or by agreement

You will lead the Regional Social Service BBL and, as a member of the management board of the municipality of Biberist, shape the future of a modern and effective social organization together with your colleagues.

Your tasks:

• Personnel, professional, and organizational leadership of the Regional Social Service

• Strategic further development of the social service

• Ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between the Regional Social Commission, the lead municipality, the contracting municipalities, and the Regional Social Service

• Maintaining and further developing collaboration with authorities, social regions, as well as social institutions and other partner organizations

• Preparation and processing of reports, evaluations, and decision-making bases

• Leading and participating in projects as well as implementing organizational and process developments

• Possibly taking over operational case work (e.g., in the areas of social assistance and child and adult protection)

• Active participation in the management board and contributing to the further development of the municipality

What we expect from you:

• University degree in social work (University/FH) or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience

• Further training and several years of experience in leadership and project management

• In-depth expertise and practical experience in one or more areas of responsibility, particularly social assistance and/or child and adult protection

• Strong service, solution, and quality orientation

• High resilience as well as pronounced organizational and conceptual skills

• High social competence, leadership strength, and skill in dealing with different stakeholders

• Confident written and persuasive oral communication skills

• Empathy, integrity, and a respectful approach to people in different life situations
