The Center for Social Affairs is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100,000 people, we are actively engaged, accessible, and networked in the following areas: Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counseling, mother and father counseling, addiction counseling, and school social work.

As part of voluntary social counseling, social workers provide advice and support based on the legal mandate (personal social assistance) for adolescents, adults, couples, and families. The focus includes, among other things: assessments in problematic life situations and overcoming personal emergencies, assistance in clarifying relationship issues, parenting and family counseling, clarification of social insurance issues, and budget counseling.

Your Tasks

• Advising and supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families within the framework of voluntary social counseling

• Clarifying social assistance entitlement and supporting the regaining of economic and social independence

• Investigations in child protection on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority

• Investigations and supervision of care placements

• Advising and supporting affected individuals and relatives in addiction counseling

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with involved specialist offices and institutions

• Administrative tasks

You Bring

• Completed studies in social work (FH)

• Professional experience in one or more fields of social work

• Basic knowledge of social insurance, social assistance, and the Swiss Civil Code

• Independent, resilient, and flexible working style

• High communication skills

• Enjoyment in actively shaping a vibrant team culture

Paid breaks of 15 min. per half day
