Your tasks:
With the operational leadership and future-oriented development of the University of Education at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, you will have an extremely interesting role with great scope for design. The PH FHNW, as the second-largest University of Education in Switzerland, has around 3,900 students, and the continuing education offerings are utilized by over 23,000 course participants per year. It is the second-largest University of Education in Switzerland and has an international presence.
Together with the team of university management
you will lead around 700 employees at the locations of Windisch, Muttenz, and Olten, implement the university's strategy in the four performance areas of education, continuing education, application-oriented research & development, and services, and be responsible for their further development
you will particularly lead the change project Perspective PH
you will shape and influence a practice-relevant and science-based teacher education
you will succeed in addressing the heterogeneous requirements of various stakeholders such as practice fields, students, or politics and implementing them in the offerings
you will position the PH FHNW in the educational space of Northwestern Switzerland as well as at the national level and network it with the corresponding stakeholders
as a member of the FHNW management, you will share responsibility for the development of the entire University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland with ten excellently positioned universities

In addition to a doctorate in educational or social sciences, you have
a proven track record and management experience in a leadership role (also with indirect leadership) in a larger organization, ideally in the higher education sector
demonstrated experience in change management of larger organizations
in-depth experience in the school field and in teacher education
profound knowledge of the Swiss education system as well as the political system in Switzerland
willingness and ability to build and maintain a network in the field of primary education (school management, teacher associations, etc.) as well as in the field of universities of education
high leadership, social, and self-competence, especially in collaboration with experts and political bodies
confident appearance and skilled handling of internal and external stakeholders
high linguistic proficiency in German and good foreign language skills in English and French
