Who we are – Working in the Youth Village

The Youth Village in Knutwil, in the canton of Lucerne, is a socio-educational institution that implements civil and criminal law measures for highly problematic male adolescents and young adults between the ages of 14 and 25. Staff members of the Youth Village accompany the young people on their path to a self-responsible life.

Our work is characterized by a positive attitude towards life, appreciation, and genuine interest in the development of the young people. We work according to systemic and group-centered principles. In doing so, we promote and support the personal, social, and professional competencies of the young people.

In the Youth Village, various professional groups come together and work collaboratively and across departments. We live a participative leadership style characterized by mutual trust and respect, continuously educate ourselves, and create the conditions with our expertise, experience, and structures to achieve the goals.

Your tasks

• Leading and accompanying 8 to 9 young people in everyday life management

• Case management

• Experience-oriented design of leisure activities

• Interdisciplinary collaboration

• Systemic parent work

• Irregular work assignments including night shifts and one weekend shift per month (3 free weekends per month)

What you bring

• Diploma in Social Education or equivalent training

• Experience with problematic adolescents

• Resilient and stable personality

• Systemic further training or willingness to complete such training

• Networked thinking

• Good oral and written expression

• Driving license category B
