Head of Education Department (80% - 100%) starting from February 1, 2027, or by agreement due to the retirement of the current postholder.
Your Tasks
Professional, personnel, and financial management of the Education Department
Preparation of consultations, applications, and motions to the municipal council, city council, and canton
Representation of the department internally and externally
Maintaining contacts with media, commissions, and partner institutions
Development and implementation of concepts and projects
Advising and supporting the department management
Implementation of educational policy ideas and mandates
Professional support for the school and day school conference and the primary school commission
Representation of the city in educational conferences
Responsibility for school space planning
Coordination and planning of the department's areas of responsibility
Your Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree / University of Applied Sciences or University in education, care, youth, leisure/sports
Further training in other professional fields of the Education Department is an advantage
Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable function
Cooperative and appreciative leadership style
Experience in dealing with political issues and committees
Resilient, socially competent, and communicatively strong personality
Confident handling of common digital work tools and the willingness to actively shape digital developments in administration
