Burgdorf is an urban, thriving center in the green with over 17,000 residents and a large catchment area. The Finance Department - Finance Division manages the accounting of the city of Burgdorf and other mandates and is responsible for management support and consulting in financial matters.

We are looking for a

Financial Officer (90% - 100%)

Your tasks

You will be responsible for accounts payable as well as the recording of incoming payments in the accounting of the city of Burgdorf and the mandate Regional Ice Sports Center Emme AG. You will also play an important role in the introduction of the digital accounts payable workflow. You will manage address and payment data and be responsible for apprentice support. Furthermore, you will assist employees in the finance department, especially during the annual closing and the budgeting process, and independently take over sub-processes such as credit control or providing budget bases. Additionally, you will handle the phone and the counter during regular opening hours.

Your profile

You have completed a commercial basic training and have several years of professional experience, ideally in the finance sector of a public administration. You are particularly familiar with the Innosolv and ABACUS municipal applications. You have a strong affinity for accounting and preferably have already completed further training in finance and accounting, ideally related to public administration. You are a team player but also enjoy working independently and are conscientious.
