Head of Nursing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 90%
The Neonatology department of UKBB with 16 beds, including six ventilator places, Intermediate Care, and Special Care in rooming-in, is located in close proximity to the delivery room of the Women's Clinic at the University Hospital Basel. We care for neonates and newborns from the 24th week of gestation. The nursing team consists of 60 employees with a total of 40 FTE. The staff from the Lactarium with 4 FTE are part of the Neonatology team.

Your responsibilities
Leading the unit together with your 2 deputies, including strategic direction and goal definition, according to professional and economic principles
Promoting excellent interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ensuring high-quality, patient-centered, and family-oriented care and support
Ensuring the training mandate and guaranteeing good training, further education, and continuing education quality in collaboration with nursing development and vocational education in nursing
Promoting and supporting evidence-based nursing as well as contributing to the establishment of further ANP teams
Your profile
You have completed a management training program and have several years of professional experience in a similar position
You are an expert in intensive care nursing NDS HF or have a recognized qualification in neonatology and bring several years of experience in dealing with neonates or intensive care patients
With your person- and task-oriented leadership style, you create a working atmosphere that promotes personal commitment and the personal responsibility of employees
You enjoy working in a leadership team
Goal- and solution-oriented thinking and action, commitment, joy, and motivation are self-evident for you
You are a competent, strong, and creative leader who is particularly committed to staff as well as to patients and their families
