For our university center for pediatric neurology, developmental pediatrics, and neurorehabilitation in Northwestern Switzerland (University Children's Hospital of Basel UKBB, Basel, and Children's Hospital KSA Aarau), we are looking for a qualified, academically engaged individual as Chief Physician with a specialization in Pediatric Neurology and proven expertise in the field of neuromuscular diseases.

Your Responsibilities
Professional, structural, and strategic leadership of the neuromuscular department as a KOSEK reference center for rare neuromuscular diseases
Responsibility for highly specialized pediatric neurology outpatient clinics, including: neuromuscular specialty clinics, interdisciplinary clinics in close collaboration with pediatric neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and other specialties, as well as transition clinics for adolescents and young adults
Further development of clinical care, care structures, and quality standards for children and adolescents with neuromuscular diseases
Active participation in the cross-site collaboration between UKBB Basel and KSA Aarau
Supervision, support, and training of residents and senior physicians
Active involvement in university teaching (students, continuing education)
Participation in clinical, structural, and academic development projects of the center
Independent scientific work and involvement in research projects are explicitly desired
Your Profile
Recognized specialization in Pediatric Neurology or equivalent qualification
At least four years of experience at the senior physician level
Solid and proven expertise in the field of neuromuscular diseases
Experience in the care of complex, chronic, and rare diseases
Proven experience in teaching; scientific activity and research experience are advantageous
High competence in interdisciplinary and cross-site collaboration
Team player, social competence, and structured, responsible work
Interest in academic profile development and the strategic expansion of a university reference center
