The Department of Neuro- and Developmental Pediatrics cares for children and adolescents across the entire spectrum of outpatient developmental pediatrics. The focus is on patients at increased risk for developmental disorders, including former premature infants, children after perinatal asphyxia, children with congenital heart defects, as well as children and adolescents with global developmental delays. Specific developmental disorders such as speech and learning disabilities, neurological diseases, behavioral developmental disorders like ADHD and autism spectrum disorders, as well as genetic disorders are also treated.

Your tasks
Assessment and clarification of children with suspected developmental disorders and abnormalities, independently
Application, evaluation, and interpretation of internationally recognized developmental and intelligence tests
Treatment of children with chronic or complex diseases
Therapy planning and monitoring
Medication management for children, especially those with ADHD or ASD
Networking with SPD, therapeutic institutions, child and adolescent psychiatry, and local pediatricians in the region
Supervision of resident physicians
Maintaining documentation
Mandatory participation in general pediatric emergency services
Your profile
You hold a medical degree and specialization in pediatrics, as well as a focus title in developmental pediatrics (completed or nearing completion) or comparable international qualifications
Very good German language skills, additional foreign language is an advantage
Professional competence in developmental pediatrics
Team player with a cooperative working style
Empathy in dealing with children and their parents
Willingness to engage in scientific work, ideally evidenced by activities or publications
