Your tasks:
You lead the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland on behalf of the University Council and shape the strategic leadership and development in close coordination with it
You are significantly involved in defining and negotiating the service mandate of FHNW with the four sponsoring cantons Aargau, Solothurn, Basel-Landschaft, and Basel-Stadt
In implementing the strategic directives, you make performance agreements with the individual universities and are supported by two Vice Presidents
You represent FHNW externally and internally
You are a leader in educational policy opinion formation within FHNW and represent corresponding positions in higher education policy-relevant committees
Your profile:
You have an excellent track record in the operational and strategic leadership of an expert organization as well as in the associated personnel management
You are familiar with the political and cultural conditions of Switzerland and ideally hold a doctorate
Your good management and social skills combined with consensus and dissent capability, as well as your decision-making and implementation ability, are complemented by excellent communication skills
