The University Children's Hospital of Basel (UKBB) is an independent, university competence center for pediatric and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research in Northwestern Switzerland. We are looking for our accredited pediatric laboratory from 01.05.2026 or by arrangement a Dipl. Biomedical Analyst HF 50-100%.

Start date: From 01.05.2026 or by arrangement

Your tasks

  • Independent execution of routine analyses in hematology and hemostasis

  • Microscopic differentiation and assessment of blood counts, cerebrospinal fluid, and punctates

  • Performing capillary blood draws

  • Supervision of POCT, especially blood gas analysis devices

  • Participation in the introduction of new methods and analyses

  • Continuous further education

  • Performing holiday, weekend, and on-call duties

Your profile

  • Completed training as a dipl. BMA HF or training qualification recognized by SRK

  • Self-responsible, motivated, team-oriented, and resilient BMA with precise, organized, and analytical working methods

  • Good communication skills and collaboration with the management team, interdisciplinary departments, and external institutions

  • Professional experience as BMA desired
