The Schürmatt Foundation is a competence center for unique special educational services in the canton of Aargau. We employ around 440 staff members at 13 locations. They mainly work in the education, support, and care of people with disabilities.

We are looking for competent individuals by agreement as

Specialist in Adult Residential Care
Workload 50-80%

Your main tasks

• You care for and accompany 6 people with cognitive, physical, and mental disabilities in a mixed-gender residential group

• You enable clients to participate in social life

• You enrich everyday life with structured daily activities and support the personal development and independence of clients

• You accompany the contact with the social network of clients

• You contribute to achieving departmental and organizational goals as well as the further development of the Schürmatt Foundation

What you bring

• Completed training as a specialist in care

• Experience in supporting and caring for people with disabilities

• Knowledge of supported communication or willingness to acquire this knowledge

• Patience, respect, empathy, and strong assertiveness

• Strong psychological and physical resilience

• Flexibility

• Joy in work

• Service and customer orientation

• Conscientious work style and high sense of responsibility

• Conflict resolution and reflection skills

• Good IT user skills (Office 365, easyDOK)

• Ideally, a driver's license B

• Willingness to work irregular hours (no night shifts / shift work)
