Nursing Expert (80%) in Practice, Brühlgut Retirement Center
The Aging and Care department of the city of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services primarily for older people in its five retirement centers and through Spitex.
The Brühlgut Retirement Center provides a well-maintained home for around 100 residents and 30 tenants in serviced living. The settings range from general geriatric care for people with multimorbid conditions, to the care of people with dementia, and to the care of people with temporary residency status. A person-centered approach is guiding in our actions.
We are looking for an interested, committed, and communicative personality for this demanding area of responsibility to start as soon as possible.
Your Tasks
Ensuring and promoting care quality through practical support for the living groups in professional matters
Supporting the nursing and professional staff and care teams in planning, creating, and implementing the care process
Supporting the nursing and professional staff in strategic planning for the development of evidence-based care and its implementation
Care, advice, and empowerment of residents and their caregivers in complex medical and nursing situations
Supporting nursing professionals with group-specific professional tasks in their role as professional leaders
Timely processing and analysis of critical incidents and development of improvement proposals
Collaboration with nursing experts and the specialist expert in nursing development of the municipal aging and Spitex centers in the overarching nursing specialist office
Development of overarching nursing-specific foundational documents and participation in or leadership of projects
Conducting advanced clinical assessments and evaluations with the relevant parties
Interprofessional collaboration with departments of the Aging and Care sector, as well as with internal and external network partners in healthcare (e.g., assigned general practitioners)
Your Profile
Preferably a degree or willingness to pursue an MScN or MAS with a specialization in long-term care
Several years of professional experience in nursing (preferably in long-term care)
Participatory working style in an interprofessional environment
Experience in project management is an advantage
Solid PC user skills in common IT applications
Very good oral and written German skills, good English skills are an advantage
High social competence, team player
