Shaping the future. Accompanying people. Creating impact together.

Do you want to not only lead but also shape the future? Then you are exactly right with us! In emergencies, every decision counts. You make them with conviction, heart, and foresight - providing your team with security and direction.

Would you like to take responsibility for the largest emergency center in the Zurich area and create sustainable changes with your team?

As the Head of Emergency Nursing in the Shared Governance Team (Specialization / Education / Management), you shape processes, develop structures, and foster a culture of appreciation and collaboration. You take responsibility for people, processes, and perspectives - using your scope for action to make the emergency department future-proof, humane, and effective. With clarity, empathy, and a strategic outlook, you lead your team and shape nursing 4.0 - approachable, interdisciplinary, and future-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Together with the Head of Specialization Development and the Head of Education, you lead the nursing area across locations, professionally, organizationally, and in terms of personnel - focusing on quality, efficiency, and appreciation.

  • You contribute your ideas, actively shape change, and strategically develop emergency nursing.

  • You create structures that enable professional care and promote interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration.

  • With your eye for resources, processes, and key figures, you design a future-proof skill & grade mix and strengthen efficiency.

  • You foster a work environment where people feel safe to contribute, take responsibility, and realize their potential - guided by you with clarity and trust.

  • You represent the interests of your team and the city hospital - with loyalty, dialogue strength, and leadership.

  • You promote a culture of appreciation, collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Profile

  • A higher education in nursing (HF/FH) with an additional qualification at NDS level.

  • Solid further training in change, transformation, and leadership - you not only lead but also develop further.

  • You think nursing anew, develop visions - and set them in motion with your team.

  • You have the ability to inspire, connect, and mobilize people together.

  • You embody a participatory leadership style based on trust, dialogue, and co-design.

  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration - you think beyond professional groups and boundaries.

  • Location-independent thinking and acting - you see the whole and steer with foresight.
