The KESB Winterthur-Andelfingen is responsible for establishing guardianships and other official support measures for the approximately 210,000 residents in the Winterthur-Andelfingen district. It is a public authority and is administratively embedded in the administration of the city of Winterthur.
Following the resignation of the long-standing president, we are looking for a leadership personality in child and adult protection for spring 2026 or by agreement. Are you interested in taking on overall responsibility as president for the management of the authority and ensuring a professional and lawful implementation of child and adult protection law?
Your Tasks
Overall responsibility for the strategic, financial, organizational, and personnel management of KESB Winterthur-Andelfingen with 65 employees
Overall responsibility for the distribution and execution of business as well as the coordination of the authority for all tasks of child and adult protection
Representation of KESB in public, politics, and various committees as well as ensuring coordination and collaboration with various specialist offices, municipalities, courts, and other authorities and institutions
Further development and consolidation of the organization, services, workflows, and processes
Your Profile
Degree in law
In-depth knowledge of Swiss child and adult protection and several years of professional experience in this field
Several years of leadership experience, ideally in a child and adult protection authority, as well as qualified management/leadership training
Experienced in dealing with politics and administrative structures
Very resilient, assertive, and decisive personality who quickly builds trust with all stakeholders through strong communication skills
