Head of Foreign Trade (100%)

Your Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the management (organizational, personnel, and financial) of the foreign trade department

• Management of a variety of foreign trade-related dossiers (European policy, free trade agreements, customs issues, trade barriers, etc.)

• Representation of interests towards authorities, politics, the public, and other important stakeholders both domestically and abroad

• Active maintenance of a broad network of contacts in politics and business

• Close collaboration with members in the context of commissions, working groups, consultations, position papers, lobbying, etc.

• Management of bilateral economic relations with selected countries (embassy contacts, dossier management in mixed economic commissions or economic missions)

• Content management of dossiers in foreign economic policy campaigns

• Contributing to the association's strategy

Your Profile

• University or higher education degree, ideally with an international focus and a solid economic foundation

• Enthusiasm for national and international politics, good knowledge of economic framework conditions – even beyond national borders – and awareness of social contexts

• Several years of professional experience in foreign trade or foreign policy

• Enjoyment in taking on responsibility, politically networked, leadership skills, and strong strategic thinking

• High willingness to perform, independence, initiative, as well as quick comprehension and openness to new topics

• Convincing presence; accustomed to representing positions and influencing in more challenging environments and towards strong personalities, diplomatic skill

• High social competence, enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration

• Very good German, French, and English skills, additional foreign languages are a plus
