As a project manager, you will be part of the construction department in the Department of Construction and Environment. You will oversee the entire municipal traffic network and the infrastructure facilities of the city of Sursee. Additionally, you will be responsible for industrial rail facilities and public lighting.

Your future tasks

• Deputy of the construction department head

• Budget and multi-year planning for construction projects and finances

• Assisting/project management in civil engineering and building projects (new construction, renovation, renewal)

• Traffic measures, signaling and marking work, school route planning

• Participation in the control of building applications (development)

• Monitoring costs and deadlines

• Planning of industrial rail facilities (maintenance measures)

• Participation in the working group on industrial tracks

• Planning, construction, renovation, and maintenance of public street lighting

What you ideally bring

• Basic training in construction or engineering

• Higher professional examination as a construction manager or a degree in construction from a university of applied sciences

• Expertise and practical experience in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure facilities

• Negotiation skills

• Knowledge of public administration and political processes

• Good computer skills (MS Office, CMI)

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Independent, resilient, and communicative personality

• Understanding of social development and social contexts
