Social Educator or Qualified Nurse 80% (Prader-Willi Syndrome Group)
The Arkadis Foundation is a service center for adults with disabilities, primarily with cognitive impairments and/or cerebral movement disorders, who live privately or in our institution. Furthermore, we are a specialist center for children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental impairments or risks, as well as those with special health or social support needs, including their social environment.
The Sonnenblick area runs several residential groups with individual support for adults with cognitive or mental impairments. Our residents in the PWS group wish for a person who “supports us with humor and respect, listens to us, and is simply there for us.”
Responsibilities
Accompanying and supporting residents in daily activities, leisure, and psychosocial matters, including key worker tasks
Planning, implementing, and guiding care and health-promoting measures
Carrying out household tasks involving the residents
Applying and further developing various communication models (AAC, easy language)
Performing administrative tasks and participating in team meetings
Requirements
Trained social educator or qualified nurse (HF or FH)
Experience working with people with disabilities or mental impairments
Affinity for sports and movement and interest in cooking and nutrition
Down-to-earth and patient personality with clear and consistent communication skills
Driver's license is an advantage
