The area of responsibility includes the following tasks:

• Operational procurement and planning of mechanical and electrical components as well as assemblies in the required quality for installation in aircraft, including price negotiations

• Planning, release, and monitoring of internal or external production orders

• Ensuring the implementation of design changes during series production

• Consultation and support of internal departments in procurement matters

• Proactive monitoring of deadlines and tracking of components and assemblies to be procured

• Building new suppliers and points of contact for technical inquiries

• Active problem-solving in case of procurement bottlenecks and issues

• Continuous optimization of planning data, inventory, and availability as well as developing proposals for improving planning processes

• Participation in various projects

The ideal qualifications are:

• Technical basic training, preferably in cubic chip removal manufacturing

• Further training as a technical merchant, purchaser, or operations specialist

• Several years of professional experience in operational procurement or planning in a highly regulated environment

• Proficient handling of ERP systems

• Good command of English, both spoken and written

• Understanding and enjoyment of the Lean philosophy

• Networked thinking, negotiation skills, and confident appearance
