The Arkadis Foundation is a service center for adults with disabilities, primarily with cognitive impairments and/or cerebral movement disorders, who live privately or in our institution. We are also a specialist center for children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental impairments or risks, as well as those with special health or social support needs, including their social environment.

For the self-representing members of the Participation Council, it is important regarding the new position that they are treated with respect and kindness. They wish for their ideas to be taken seriously and implemented in practice. They also place great value on versatile and individual support.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the implementation of the developed UK standards throughout the foundation

• Assistance to the self-representatives in the Participation Council

• Leadership of the working groups "Supported Communication" and "Easy Language" in collaboration with the responsible departments

• Conducting and accompanying assessment processes in Supported Communication

• Conducting training and consultations in the areas of UK, Easy Language, and participation

Requirements

• Degree in social pedagogy or MAS Disability and Participation

• Further training as a coordinator for Supported Communication and Easy Language or willingness to complete corresponding further training

• Experience in working with people with cognitive impairments

• Experience in project work

• High IT affinity, confident handling of UK aids, and experience in the application of Meta Search

• Personal competencies: communicative, independent, and committed personality
