At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, we offer you the opportunity to engage in application-oriented and interdisciplinary research and teaching – and together with a motivated team, shape the engineering education of the future. Your diverse tasks include:

• You teach in the field of Computational Engineering with a focus on energy technology – particularly in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, reaction kinetics, and machine learning.
• You supervise laboratories, project work, and theses at the bachelor and master levels.
• You acquire and lead application-oriented research and service projects with strong industry connections.
• You support and mentor students, research staff, and assistants in their development.
• You maintain and expand a viable network with industry and research partners both domestically and internationally.

Your profile:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar; ideally with a doctorate.
• Several years of practical experience in industry, particularly in R&D or product development.
• Training and professional experience in the field of energy technology with a focus on simulations.
• Advantageous: additional experience in AI applications, machine learning, or digital twins.
• Familiarity with the Swiss and/or European research funding landscape.
• Leadership experience in technical development or research teams is desirable.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, initiative, and high customer orientation.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and didactic skills.
• High intrinsic motivation and joy in innovation.
• Pedagogical-didactic qualification (or willingness to obtain this).
