For our department of Neuro- and Developmental Pediatrics, we are looking for an engaged and experienced medical secretary to actively support our interdisciplinary team with a variety of administrative and organizational tasks starting immediately. You will take on responsible activities in the areas of reporting, appointment and capacity planning, as well as communication with internal and external parties, thus significantly contributing to an efficient workflow in the department.

Your tasks
- Support assigned medical and psychological professionals with various administrative tasks such as reporting, capacity and deployment planning, agenda management, correspondence, reporting, file issuance, billing, etc.
- Organizing courses and symposia for the leading physicians
- Processing insurance and IV inquiries, obtaining cost estimates/approvals
- Continuous assurance and ongoing optimization of efficient processes
- Coordination of internal and external communication with specialists, institutions, parents, and patients
- General administrative tasks
Your profile
- Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in administration, preferably in a medical environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills, high self-motivation, and a solution-oriented, structured working style
- Team-oriented, solution-focused, and resilient personality with high social competence
- Very good IT skills (MS Office, hospital software an advantage)

Rest is important. Wherever you want to recharge: up to 50 years = 30 days, from 50 years = 33 days, from 60 years = 37 days - Inconveniences / Allowances
Our patients need you outside regular office hours? Then you have the right to fair compensation. For a night shift, you receive an allowance of at least 10 francs per hour, on weekends and holidays even up to 16.50 francs. - Changing time
As banal as it sounds: work clothing is not leisure clothing. It's only fair that this is recognized in everyday work. With us, changing time is working time. You are entitled to 10 minutes for changing per shift. - Child allowances
The UKBB is family-friendly. In addition to the statutory family allowances, we pay additional maintenance allowances for children and adolescents. For example, you are entitled to 400 francs per month for your first child based on a 100% workload, for two children a total of 500 francs. - Discounted travel to work
If you come to work by public transport, you can benefit from a discount of CHF 282.00 per year on your U-pass (via job ticket), on your GA, or on any other public transport pass from Germany and France. - Well insured
During your employment, you will always receive your full salary, even if you are absent. In addition, we guarantee you a salary continuation of 730 days in case of illness. Should you ever need inpatient treatment due to an accident, you are also semi-privately insured. - Meals
In the restaurants at UKBB and University Hospital Basel, you will enjoy a staff discount. Employees can get a classic lunch menu for CHF 9.70. - Maternity leave
We extend your maternity leave from 14 to 16 weeks at full salary. - Emergency shifts are worth it
As a thank you, you earn CHF 75.00 per shift if you are called in for a service at short notice within five calendar days before a planned day off or rest day. Additionally, a time surcharge of 25% is granted.
