Data Center Engineer 80-100%

We are looking for reinforcement for our IT Operations team with a service-oriented mindset. About two-thirds of our activities consist of routine tasks that keep the daily business running. The remaining third is dedicated to innovative projects and the development of new solutions that optimize our Data Center processes and increase our efficiency.

What you will achieve
You will perform key tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our own data centers:

• Monitoring operations and responding to errors

• Automation of Data Center processes (scripting and orchestration)

• Co-development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on Azure for our Managed Services

• Performing routine maintenance, such as software and firmware updates

• Supporting other teams in analyzing and resolving complex disruptions

• Planning, installing, and configuring networks, storage, servers, and other components

• Creating and maintaining inventory, documentation, and manuals

• Contributing personal experiences for knowledge transfer and process optimizations

Why you will succeed

• You have completed vocational training as an IT specialist with further education at the FA/HF/FH level

• At least 8 years of professional experience

• Solid knowledge in server virtualization (Hyper-V) and basic services

• Solid knowledge in scripting languages (PowerShell and others)

• Good knowledge in data center operations: analysis at the configuration level in operating systems and systems

• Good knowledge in network, firewall, and security solutions

• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure Lighthouse

• High customer orientation, teamwork, and flexibility

• Fluent in German and good English skills, both spoken and written
