Help us shape the future of environmental measurement technology – at the interface of research, teaching, and practice.
At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), we offer you the chance to implement innovative ideas, build a strong team, and make an impact with your expertise.
- You actively shape the future of environmental measurement technology at FHNW: you further develop an engaged team with a well-equipped laboratory (currently focusing on aerosol measurement technology).
- You contribute your expertise to teaching – with inspiring instruction in foundational and advanced modules as well as supervising exciting student projects.
- You acquire and lead application-oriented research and service projects – practical, innovative, and impactful.
- As a subject leader, you promote the development of your scientific team with competence and passion.
- You actively drive the further development of the Institute for Sensor Technology and Electronics and set new impulses.
Your profile:
- You have several years of practical experience in environmental measurement technology – ideally from an industrial background with experience in developing new measurement methods – and understand the requirements firsthand.
- You think entrepreneurially, take responsibility, and impress with solid management skills.
- Your technical foundation is excellent: you have very good knowledge in sensor technology and proven expertise in environmental measurement technology – in areas such as optical measurement technology or pollutant analysis.
- You know the industry well and have a viable network – preferably in Switzerland – that facilitates access to relevant partners and projects.
- You are passionate about teaching and ideally have a didactic-pedagogical qualification – or are willing to acquire this after starting the position.
- You are an initiative, communicative personality who convinces with know-how and a willingness to shape and actively influences the future of the institute.
