Payroll Specialist (Part-time, 60 - 80 %)
The University of Teacher Education Zug (PH Zug) is an educational institution with around 550 students and 140 employees, offering a personal atmosphere. The Human Resources (HR) department is responsible for personnel management at PH Zug. As a small, skilled HR team, we support our clients with passion and joy. We advise the university management and accompany our leaders and employees in all personnel matters.
You would like to take on responsibility as a competent contact person starting from October 1, 2025 or by agreement – even with complex questions regarding payroll and salary administration? Then you are the ideal addition to our dedicated, cheerful team.
These exciting tasks await you
- Responsibility for the precise, professional, and timely execution of monthly payroll processing from A to Z for all internal and external employees
- Ensuring the entire social insurance administration (maternity compensation, family allowances, withholding tax, EO, accident daily allowances, and annual closing)
- Responsibility for year-end processing, declaration, and reconciliation of payroll-relevant accounting accounts as well as their balancing
- Contact person for our employees in all salary-related questions as well as for external entities such as pension funds, etc.
- Consultation on complex salary-related issues with tax or social insurance law and international references
- Development of personnel key figures and preparation of internal and external statistics
- Participation in the introduction and further development of HR tools and in projects
You bring the following
- Completed commercial basic education (commercial employee EFZ)
- Further training at the level of HR specialist certificate, finance/accounting, CAS Payroll Expert, or similar
- Several years of professional experience in payroll processing with solid Abacus knowledge in a comparable position
- You work precisely and independently and appreciate continuous development and digital processes
- You are able to quickly grasp complex relationships
- Challenging questions motivate you and spark your interest
- You have a confident command of German and are proficient in MS Office programs, especially very good Excel skills
- As a proactive, service-oriented, and open-minded personality with drive and team spirit, you fit perfectly with us
