The Department of School and Sports supports schools, school authorities, and the sports office of the city of Winterthur in fulfilling their diverse tasks.
For the infrastructure area, we are looking for a safety officer for our municipal schools, effective immediately or by arrangement. This includes not only primary schools but also special schools (CPS, HPS, KGS) as well as vocational schools MSW and profil. This is a newly created position that must be independently established and solidified. Are you our new contact person for all questions regarding occupational safety and health protection?
Your Tasks
- Professional leadership of six areas and around 120 facility safety officers (approximately 180 objects)
- Point of contact and information center, especially for building maintenance, regarding occupational safety, fire protection, building security, and health protection
- Development or participation in safety concepts
- Verification of full compliance with safety regulations in everyday school life as well as at large events, occasions, and rentals
- Ensuring uniform standards
- Conducting inspections of safety technical facilities
- Further development and implementation of new tasks within the area of responsibility
Your Profile
- Completed further training as a specialist in occupational safety and health protection (ASGS) with federal diploma (or in training for it)
- Proven professional experience in a similar role
- Ability to organize independently, analyze and evaluate risks and weaknesses independently, develop, present, and implement solutions
- High self-competence and initiative
- Experience in project management
- Communication skills appropriate to levels and stakeholders
- High resilience and willingness for short-term assignments in case of events
