swisstopo – know where to go

swisstopo is the federal competence center for geoinformation. It is responsible for national surveying and coordinates the federal activities regarding geodata and geoservices. swisstopo provides its partners and customers with current, high-quality spatial reference data across the entire territory of Switzerland and offers its products in the form of printed or digital maps, 3D models, or web services. The office is also the federal expert authority for geology and the supervisory authority for official surveying.

This is the contribution you can make

• Provide legal advice on specialized topics of public law, particularly in the areas of geoinformation, federal personnel, data protection, and public law
• Prepare and accompany legislative projects
• Draft and coordinate statements within the framework of internal federal consultation procedures
• Conduct consultations in public procurement law and contract reviews
• Process access requests based on the Public Access Act

This makes you unique

• Legal university degree (licentiate or master's), preferably with a bar exam and several years of professional experience
• Solid legal knowledge in public law
• Excellent editorial and communication skills
• Quick comprehension, independent, efficient, and careful working style, as well as assertiveness
• Active knowledge of at least one second official language and English
