The University Children's Hospital Basel (UKBB) is the university competence center for pediatric and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research in Northwestern Switzerland. The HEROES study (Rheumatology Transition for Young People in Switzerland) is a national study aimed at developing, implementing, and evaluating a transition program for adolescents and young adults transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare in Switzerland. The study is led by the University Children's Hospital of both Basels in collaboration with the University Hospital Basel. We are recruiting a scientific staff member for the HEROES study to accompany the qualitative part of the study.
Start date: Immediately or by agreement
Your tasks
- Thematic analysis of existing data from interviews and observations in MAXQDA
- Collaboration in the development of an intervention program based on the analyzed qualitative data
- Conducting interviews with parents, adolescents, health care professionals, and stakeholders
- Conducting observation sequences in the participating clinics
- Writing scientific research articles
Your profile
- Degree in nursing science, public health, social sciences, psychology, or a related field
- Very good knowledge of qualitative research methodology and analysis
- Very good knowledge of MAXQDA, good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable but not mandatory: 'Transitional Care', health of adolescents, rheumatology, or implementation science
- Fluent in German and English is essential, knowledge of French and/or Italian is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, organizational talent, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to participating clinics within Switzerland
- Strong team spirit, initiative, and openness to collaboration across scientific disciplines
